Dean Motl

Leadership Trainer

BIOGRAPHY:

Dean Motl was born in Detroit in 1966, a current resident of the State of Michigan and a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He currently holds the position of Asset Manager, for PurEnergy, LLC. He oversees asset management, financial services, project O&M for the multiple combined cycle, and gas assets in the United States.

He has more than 30 years’ experience in international asset management, O&M, general management and business development of energy projects.

Prior to joining PurEnergy, he worked for NAES Corp in various O&M leadership capacities, including four years as General Manager for the world’s largest combined power and water project in Singapore. Dean has held leadership positions at numerous facilities throughout the U.S. and Asia

​

He holds a BS Business Administration degree from Liberty University, and an Executive MBA from Rutgers University. Additionally, he is a U.S. Navy Gulf War Veteran, marine engineer, and participated in extensive executive leadership education.

He has been a featured speaker at several national and international industry conferences, and recently provided strategic planning to Bowling Green University EMBA students in 2018.  Faculties under his leadership have received multiple awards, and featured in several industry publications.   He has also served as founder and chairperson for a charity golf tournament benefiting the MDA of America.

When engaged in career ambitions, Dean enjoys quality time with family, international travel, and fly-fishing.
